Mobigo Geo

Mobigo Geo is an iOS App provided by Erisma Technologies, Sweden. It sends out location based information gathered by the mobile client over to an HTTP-based webservice running on a Mobigo Mobile server. The purpose of this service is to track an employees location whilst working.

Running in the forground, the app uses a timer-based GPS signal to periodically report the location; when inactive, location data is taken from an iOS standard service, which uses-cell based triangulation rather than GPS navigation. This also ensures low battery consumption.

Please note that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
